Joyce Marie (DeFusco) Hersey September 9, 1946 - April 10, 2021

Joyce Hersey, of Methuen, passed away peacefully at Holy Family Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.  She is predeceased by her husband Philip Hersey, son David Hersey and her mother, Irene DeFusco.  She is survived by her son, Philip Hersey, her father, Anthony DeFusco, and her brothers Thomas DeFusco and his wife Patti McCarron, and Steven DeFusco. Joyce was the loving grandmother of Brennah, Nicholas, and Brandon Hersey, and was much loved by her niece and nephews, Jared, Mathew, Ashley, and Micael DeFusco. She also had many loving friends who were very special to her. Joyce received her RN degree from St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Brighton and retired from Lawrence General Hospital, where she spent many years as a labor and delivery nurse. She was very fond of animals and supported several animal rescue organizations. Joyce loved travelling and spending time with her family. Visitation will be on Saturday June 12, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00  am in St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth Street Methuen, MA.
