Obituary

Worcester - Kenneth "Ken" Kelly, age 61, of Worcester, formerly of Roslindale, MA, died Sunday, September 16, 2012, in Worcester.  He was a long-time employee of Raytheon Company.

Raised in Brighton, the son of the late John L. Kelly and Marguerite I. Norton, he is survived by his sons, John Kelly of Brooklyn, NY and Matthew Kelly of Salem, MA; their mother, Jane McCarthy Kelly of Norwood, MA.; his brothers, William Parker and his wife Linda of Worcester, David Kelly and his wife Marjolein of Townsend, MA; his sisters, Carol Bretagne and her husband Richard of Worcester, Gaily Tremblay of Pelham, NH, Sandra Kirby and her husband James of Blackstone, Joyce Kelly of of Waltham, Lynne Kelly of Belmont, Robin Orifice and her husband Richard of Waltham, and June Messina and her husband Joseph of Tyngsboro; 11 nieces and nephews, 3 grand-nieces.

Ken loved music, especially the Beatles and the Kinks.  He enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles, and would never miss an evening watching his favorite show, Jeopardy.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the VNA Hospice Team and to the staff at Golden Living Center of Worcester for their care and support.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the First Church and Parish in Dedham, Unitarian Universalist, 670 High Street, Dedham.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.
