THERRIEN, Laurance A. 6/23/49-9/20/14
Larry Therrien, 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2014. He was born June 23, 1949 in Randolph, Vermont to Laurence and the late Laura (Perry) Therrien. As a child, he resided in Vermont; as an adult, he spent the majority of his life in the Webster, MA area. In his teen years he was an avid Body Builder. He was a US Army, Vietnam era Veteran. He loved music of all types, from Elvis to Avenged Sevenfold. He loved his guitar, had an incredible voice, and his presence on stage was magnetic. "Larry Black" as he was known in the music circle was very proud of the Black River Band, and was always ready to attend or perform benefits with other fellow musicians. He had a passion for fishing, and in later years developed a love for playing and watching golf with his son Shane. He was a regular at his beloved Webster Lake Automotive Service Center, originally owned by his Father, and now by his Brother Walt. He continued his visits there until it was impossible for him to do so. He was a humble man, lived simply and passed no judgment. Strong willed until the end. The fight is over now, he is at peace with the family and friends who went before him that he loved so dearly.
