Thompson, CT- Lena D. (Iwanicki) Babula age 88 died Mon. Aug. 25, 2014 at Day Kimball Hosp., Putnam, CT.  She was the wife of the late Edward Babula who died March 20, 2014.  She leaves a daughter Nancy wife of David Thomas of Vernon, CT, she was also predeceased by a son Paul, and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.  She also leaves 4 grandchildren; Adam and his wife Cyndi Thomas, Timothy and his wife Shauna Thomas, Nicole and Zachary Thomas; 2 great grand children, Nathaniel and Tyler Thomas.  She was born in Chicopee, MA daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Kozik) Iwanicki and lived in Thompson most of her life.  She enjoyed, swimming, cooking, baking and playing board games with her family. The funeral will be held Fri. Aug. 29 from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Basilica, Webster.  Calling hours are also Fri. from 8AM till 9:45 AM in the funeral home, burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph Basilica or the Visiting Nurse Assoc. of North East CT.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com
