Port St. Lucie, FL- Lucille (Crook) Laythe passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Tiffany Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Port St. Lucie, FL. She was the widow of the late Arthur R. Laythe who passed away in 1972.
She leaves four daughters, Edna Rodgers of Arkansas, Matilda Laythe of Washington, Wanda Therrien of CT, Pamela Moulton of Florida. She is also survived by one son, Thomas Laythe of Indiana and 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lucille had sons David Laythe of MA, William of Washington, DC and a daughter Ota Faye of MA, a brother Haskell Crook of Tenn and Five sisters Ada Willoghby, Alene McMahan, Bertie Barrette, Lottie Cook and Ada Malone all of Tenn who predeceased her.
She was born in Liberty, Tenn daughter of the late William H. Crook and Matilda (Hale) Crook and lived in Florida since 1985 prior to that living in Webster. Lucille worked as a spinner for many years at Anglo Fabric in Webster.
A visitation will be held in the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 9:30 AM till 10:30 AM, burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence of light a candle.
