Madeleine Beaulieu Nolin, R.N., 90, died on Thursday October 17, 2013 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Center after a long illness.

She was born on March 7, 1923 in Highgate, Vermont the youngest of 17 children.  Born to Arthur and Rosanna (Bouchard) Beaulieu. She graduated from Highgate High School in 1942 and from the Bishop DeGoesbriand Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She was a member of the Army Cadet Corps. She worked as a nurse until she was 84 years old. Her first job was at the Bishop DeGoesbriand Hospital. She worked at many private duty nursing jobs and worked at Memorial Hospital in Albany, New York. Her last nursing job was at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home where she worked for more than 30 years.

She married Bernard Nolin who predeceased her in 1967. She was predeceased by her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. Her two children survive her. Michael Nolin and Suzanne (Primeau) of Savanna, GA., Patricia Nolin and Donald Majercik, M.D. of Jericho, VT; two granddaughters, Rachel Nolin and Dustin Dechter of Las Vegas, NV and Jessica Nolin of Mountain View, CA.  She is also survived by her two step granddaughters, Sarah Majercik, M.D. and Robert Tashjian, M.D. of Salt Lake City, UT, their daughter, her great granddaughter Zoe, and Abby Majercik and John Read of Seattle, WA. Many nieces and nephews, who were so kind to her also survive her.

She was a member of the St. Mark's Ladies Auxiliary. She will be remembered for her many acts of kindness and her willingness to help others. The family wishes to thank the staff of Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home who welcomed her with open arms and surrounded her with love.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church in Burlington. Interment will follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington. Visiting hours will be on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Ready Funeral and Cremation Service, 261 Shelburne Rd. in Burlington.
