Marlene Carlson, age 79, of Winchendon, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at UMASS Memorial Health Care - Memorial Campus, Worcester.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Carlson.  She leaves her children, Cynthia Sabattini and her husband Fred, Richard I. Carlson and his wife Elizabeth, Fred Carlson and Paul Carlson; four grandchildren, Matthew Sabattini, Amber MacMullen, Justine Carlson and Parker Carlson.  She was predeceased by a son, John Carlson.

Marlene was born in Royal Oaks, Michigan, daughter of the late Wesley and Laura (Wolferd) McGuire.  She was a homemaker.

There are no calling hours.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 4 pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1071 West Street, Gardner, MA.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com .
