Obituary

Mary A.  (Bogdewicz) Johnson, age 93 of Millbury, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at home.

Her husband, Norman G. Johnson, died in 1974.  She leaves a son, Bruce Johnson and his wife Linda of Millbury, with whom she made her home; a daughter, Susan Del Nostro and her husband Carmen of Nevada; a sister, Wanda Novak of Worcester; a grandson, Ryan Johnson of Auburn; a great-grandson, Layne Del Nostro of Avon, CO; two great-great-granchildren, John Blaze and Aspyn.  She was predeceased by a son, Alan Johnson; two brothers, Walter and Joseph Bogdewicz; by two sisters, Katherine Stukowski and Amelia Bogdewicz; and by a grandson, John Lavalley.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Bernard and Katarzyna (Huk) Bogdewicz and lived in Millbury most of her life.  She was a retired assembly worker, having worked many years at Telechron/General Electric.  She enjoyed summers at Plum Island in Newburyport with her sister Wanda, quilting by hand, sharing good food with family and friends, playing scrabble and listening to opera music.  She was a very congenial, peaceful person.  She was most proud of her grandson, Ryan for the care, compassion and advocacy he provided her through the years.
