Michael J. Zigmont Jr.'s Obituary
Webster - Michael J Zigmont, Jr. passed away at his Point Pleasant residence in Webster, MA after a long illness.
Mike attended Granby High School in Granby, Connecticut and the University of Hartford. He joined the Marine Corp in 1970 and dedicated 16 years to his love of the military. Mike was a gunnery sergeant and senior firearms instructor. Mike was
an avid bowler, hunter, marksman and all-round sports enthusiast.
Prior to his illness, Mike was employed as a sales associate for Lowes Home Improvement in Fort Myers, Florida for thirteen years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Theresa and Michael Zigmont, Sr. and his younger brother, George Zigmont. Michael is survived by his long time sweetheart, best friend and life partner, Brenda Spencer of Webster.
Mike has requested that his ashes be scattered along Venice Beach on the Gulf of Mexico where they spent countless hours enjoying the wildlife and peaceful walks. At Michael's request, there will be no services. Contributions may be made in Mike's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements. A guest book is available at
