Nelson D. Giroux, age 85, of Oxford, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation - Oakwood, Webster.

He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy R. (Ratcliffe) Giroux in 2003.  He leaves a son, Mark S. Giroux of Oxford; a daughter, Paula A. Druzbicki of Oxford and a half-sister, Trudy Caraway of North Carolina.

Nelson was born in Worcester, son of the late Paul J. and Florence (Hawkinson) Giroux and lived in Oxford for sixty-two years.  He retired from the Providence and Worcester Railroad, where he worked in the track maintenance department for many years.
