Obituary

Norman L. Gajewski, age 84 of Dudley, died Thursday, February 6, 2014 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Esther A. (Senkarik) Gajewski of Dudley; two sons, Michael Gajewski and his wife Mary Ann of Webster, Gary Gajewski of Dudley; a daughter, Maryanne E. St. Francis and her husband Roger of Charlton; a brother, Bernard Gajewski of Dudley; two granddaughters, Kara Anne and Jenna Lee St. Francis, both of Charlton; he was predeceased by three brothers, William Gajewski, Edmond Gajewski and Richard Gajewski.

He was born in Dudley, son of the late William and Emily (Dziuban) Gajewski and lived here all his life.  He was a United States Navy veteran, having served in Korea.  He was a union laborer for many years.  He loved the Red Sox, the Patriots and spending quality time with his granddaughters.

There are no calling hours.  A military funeral will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014, at 10:00 am in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, Dudley. Please go directly to the church. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
