Raymond J. Higgins Sr., age 88 of Charlton, died Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Mary Health Care, Worcester.

He leaves his wife, Elizabeth J. (Turner) Higgins of Charlton; two sons, Raymond J. Higgins Jr. of Barre and Albin E. Higgins of Southbridge; a daughter, Althea L. Higgins of Worcester; a sister, Annie Munro of Worcester.  He was predeceased by a brother and three sisters.

Raymond was born in Worcester, son of the late Oscar and Edith (Holmes) Higgins and lived in Barre before moving to Charlton 35 years ago.  He was a retired baker, having worked many years at the State Hospital in Rutland.
