Woodstock, CT – Roland C. Provencal, 90, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side.

Roland was born in Putnam, CT on August 2, 1930, son of the late Arthur and Albina (Morceau) Provencal; he served honorably in the United States Army and owned and operated RCP Contracting Inc. for many years prior to his retirement; he was a longtime member of the Putnam VFW; he enjoyed being outdoors, and he loved to go skiing. For the past 45 years Roland has been a faithful Jehovah's Witness who loved to speak to people about the Bible.  He will be sadly missed by all in the congregation

Roland is survived by his wife Eleanore E. (Zombeck) Provencal, to whom he has been wed for forty-five years; his son Arthur P. Provencal of Woodstock; his daughter Heather Trudeau of Holland, VT; two sisters: Cecile Marie Downer of Ponfret and Priscilla Trudeau of Chaplain; two grandchildren: Abigail Hurd and Cody Trudeau.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
