Obituary

Sofia (Milios) Antoniou, age 86, of Webster, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

She was the wife of the late Athanasios Antoniou, who died in 2009.  She leaves two sons, Dr. Demetrious Antoniou, M.D., D.M.D. of Portland, Maine and Pangiotis Antoniou of Webster; a daughter, Hrysoula Antoniou Cardamone of Arlington, Virginia; five grandchildren, Alexandra, Christina, Michael, Sofia and Alexa; two brothers, Demetrious Milios and Vasilios Milios, both of Webster; a sister, Persefoni Sgouritisas of Webster; nieces and nephews.

She was born in Leskoviki, Albania and lived in Webster since 1966.  She was a retired textile worker having worked for J.P. Stevens Company.  She was a member of Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster and the Philoptochos Society.

The funeral will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013, from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster with a service at 11:00 am in Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway, Webster.  Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster.  Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, June 20, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway, Webster, MA 01570.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
