Sophie M. (Szumilas) Lukaszek, age 94, of Dudley, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge. Her husband, Stanley S. Lukaszek Sr. died in 1988.  She leaves a son, Stanley S. Lukaszek Jr. of Dudley; a daughter, Susan M. Sheldon and her husband James Sheldon of Dudley; a sister, Nellie H. Laskowski of Southbridge; a granddaughter, Samantha Sheldon of Dudley.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Stanley, Joseph and Stephen Szumilas, all of Southbridge. She was the daughter of the late Ignacy and Mary (Rusiecki) Szumilas and lived in Southbridge before moving to Dudley.  She retired from American Optical where she worked in the milling department for many years.  She was a member of the Holy Rosary at Saint Andrew Bobola Church and the Quarter Century Club at A.O.  She enjoyed crocheting and polish music.  She was an avid Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and sports fan. The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013, from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street, Dudley.  Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster.  Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made Saint Andrew Bobola Church.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com .
