Stephen Gottlieb, age 66, of Woodstock, died Monday, January 2, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family,

He leaves his wife of 45 years, Marylou Davis of Woodstock; a son, Joseph Gottlieb of Thompson; a daughter, Amber Tourlentes and her husband Stephen of Somerville, MA; two grandchildren, Theo and Eli Tourlentes of Somerville,

Stephen was born in Washington D.C., son of the late Sidney and Margaret (Moore) Gottlieb. Stephen lived in Woodstock for the past 20 years.  He was a Manager at Hobbs Medical in Stafford Springs, CT for the past 25 years.

Stephen was a professional musician, played guitar and performed within many bands over the years.  Additionally, he taught music in Southbridge and owned Southbridge Music store. Stephen enjoyed gardening, his grandchildren and reading.

There are no calling hours.  A memorial service will be held at 11 am on January 14, 2017 at the First Congregational Church, 543 Route 169, Woodstock, CT.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Congregational Church, 543 Route 169, Woodstock, CT 06281 or the Woodstock Historical Society, 523 Route 169, Woodstock, CT 06281.
