Dudley – Thomas F. Meagher Jr, 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep while in the comfort of his home on Thursday November 18, 2021.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Emily M. (Minarik) Meagher; his two daughters Kelly Hamill and her husband Peter of Rye, NH and Tara Galante and her husband Daniel of Hubbardston, MA; his brother Robert Meagher of Thompson, CT; four grandchildren: Jack, Maggie, Avery, Addison; his cousin Walter Gion of Dudley.

Tom was born in Webster on May 19, 1938, son of the late Thomas F. Meagher Sr. and Margaret (Canty) Meagher, living in Dudley all  his life.  Tom taught history and coached soccer for the Uxbridge High School for many years. Tom served honorably as a Captain in the Army National Guard for many years.  Tom enjoyed all sports, especially soccer, and mentored his children and grandchildren with their various athletics.  Tom enjoyed bantering about history and politics with family and friends; he was especially proud of his Irish heritage; he was also a lover of all animals.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 23, 2021 from 8:30 – 9:45 am in the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street Webster, MA followed by the Funeral Mass being celebrated at the St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road, Dudley at 10:00 am.  Committal Services with Military Honors will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Webster.
