Tura D. (Briddon) Dudley 1945 – 2026

Tura D. (Briddon) Dudley, 81, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, in Lifecare of Auburn, after a long illness.

She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur Briddon Jr. and Tura D. (Grudoff) Briddon; her brother, Arthur Briddon III; her sister, Ann (Briddon) Irr; and her nephew, Arthur Briddon IV, all of Millbury, Massachusetts. She leaves behind six nephews, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Tura was a proud graduate of Clark University and dedicated more than 40 years to the Sutton school system as an art educator before retiring. Throughout her life, she shared her artistic creativity and passion for learning with countless students and colleagues.  An avid animal lover, she held a special place in her heart for all of her cats and dogs, especially Caesar and Brutus. Tura enjoyed traveling, music, swimming, boating, water skiing, cooking, gardening, and walking. Her happiest moments, however, were spent during summers in Maine at the family camp on the lake, a place she cherished deeply.  In accordance with her wishes, her ashes will be spread there.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Life Care Center of Auburn for the compassionate care they provided over the past five years.

There will be no calling hours, and a private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tura's memory may be made to Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester MA 01605.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home & Cremation, 48 School Street, Webster, has been entrusted with arrangements.  A memorial guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
