Canterbury - William Armand Benoit, 65, died April 5, 2017, at UMASS Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts.

He was born January 5, 1952, to Armand and Katherine (Stutz) Benoit in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from Hartford Public High School and lived most of his life in Eastern Connecticut. He was predeceased by his wife Anna (LeBlanc) Benoit. Survivors include a brother, Michael Benoit of Palm Bay, Florida, and sisters Susan Corneilson of Flanders, New Jersey, Jean Benoit of Branford, Connecticut, Nancy Gallo of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and Lorrie St. Pierre of Burlington, Connecticut. He also leaves behind 7 nieces and nephews and one grand niece. In addition Bill had 3 stepchildren and two step-grandchildren.

He worked at American Standard and UConn Food service.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Community Church, 18 Village Center, in Moosup, Connecticut on Saturday May 13 at 11:00, with a Potluck to follow. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster has been entrusted with arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may light a candle or post a condolence message.
