Charlton- William "Bushy" Konkel, age 84, died peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, December 3, 2015.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Grace (Giovinazzi) Konkel; a son, Billy Konkel and his wife Dawna of Charlton; two daughters, Kathy and her husband Franny Meagher of Webster, Jane and her husband Jay Gale of Charlton; his twin brother, Bobby of Tacoma Washington, and brothers, Henry and Eddie, both of Webster; a sister, Betty Armstrong of Webster; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Lenny Konkel, a brother, John Konkel and by a grandson, Joshua Meagher.
He was the son of the late John P. Konkel and Katherine (Stefaniak) Konkel and lived in Charlton most of his life. He was a carpenter and a farmer. The 3 brothers Henry, Eddie and Bushy ran Konkel Bros Builders Inc. He was a member of carpenters union and the Beagle club. He loved hunting, fishing, horses and tinkering with farm equipment.
The funeral will be held from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster on Saturday, December 5, 2015 with a 10 AM graveside service in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster.
