Worcester – Abigail Grajales, 72, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday February 11, 2023.
Abigail was born in Catano, Puerto Rico on March 21, 1950, daughter of Jose Grajales and Felicita Roman; she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Abigail enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Being predeceased by her husband Pedro Santiago, Abigail is survived by her sons Juan Velez and his wife Mary of Worcester, and Jose Miguel Velez of Holyoke; her daughter Leslie Rodriguez of Gilbertville; her brothers: Eliu Grajales of Worcester, Jose Grajales and his wife Sonia of Shrewsbury, Abraham Grajales of Worcester, Samuel Grajales of Worcester, David Grajales of Worcester, Eliezer Grajales and his wife Glenda of Worcester; her sisters: Iris Grajales of Puerto Rico, Ruth Grajales of Worcester; Juana Grajales and her husband Felix of Worcester, and Felicita Grajales of Worcester; she also leaves five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren as well as many relatives and friends.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday February 17, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Rice Funeral Home, under the direction of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 300 Park Avenue Worcester, MA. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 18, 2023 at 10:00 am in Rice Funeral Home; Committal will follow in Hope Cemetery.
