Worcester – Ada L. (Locke) Stover, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday March 1, 2021 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center.
Ada was born in Worcester, MA on September 17, 1930, daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Reopel) Locke. Besides being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, over the years Ada had a vast career working for companies such as Woolworth’s, Snap Photo, The Hermitage, EGG and G Mason Research; she was a longtime and faithful member of the Hadwen Park Congregational Church in Worcester. Ada loved to travel, especially with her beloved husband “Smokey”; she was also a fan of Baseball and country music, Johnny Cash being her favorite artist.
Being predeceased by her beloved husband Howard “Smokey” Stover, her brother Albert Chester Locke, and her daughter-in-law Catherine Anne (Flanagan) Stover, Ada is survived by her son John Stover of Nantucket; two daughters: Donna Hanlon and her husband Kevin of Worcester, and Lynn Cushing and her husband Frank of Orrington, ME; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren; she also leaves many more relatives and dear friends.
A celebration of Ada’s Life will be scheduled and announced at a later date.
