Alfred B. Perry, age 76, of Webster, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Knollwood Nursing Center in Worcester.
Fred, as he was known to many, was born in Augusta, Maine, son of the late Arthur & Mary (Huseby) Perry and lived in the Webster area most of his life.
Fred was a fan of all Boston Sports – especially the Red Sox and the Patriots. He enjoyed old movies, antiques, and books, which was evident in the huge collection of the classics that he had; He was an avid reader about history and even joined the National Historical Society. He was a longtime member of the Webster Senior Center and served on the Town of Webster Council on Aging. He was very charismatic, and demonstrated great fortitude and kindness. In early years as a master machinist and later other trades, he took pride in his work. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his three sons, Arthur Perry and his partner Carolyn Savio of Tewksbury, Thomas Perry and his wife Kerri of Reading, Daniel Perry and his fiancée Elise Martin of Bradenton, FL; six grandchildren, Micaela Perry, Alex Perry, Nick Perry, Daniel Perry Jr., Frederick Perry and Geoffrey Martin. He also leaves his close cousin, Paul Deary and a longtime friend, Peter Slota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Fred on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10:00 am in Saint Louis Church, 15 Lake Street, Webster. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in the spring in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home & Cremation, 48 School Street, Webster, MA. A memorial guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
