WEBSTER - Andrea D Franas, “Grammie” to her Grandchildren and “Andee” to her family and friends, died peacefully on Monday January 1, 2023. She is survived by her Husband of 53 years, Richard Franas, Son Jeffrey Franas, six Grandchildren: Elisabeth , Anna, Madalyn , Andrew, Ian and Emmet, her daughter’s in law Heather and Stacey, her Mother Eleanor Dembowski, and Brother Edward Dembowski Jr. Andee was predeceased by her Father Edward J Dembowski .
Born in Bridgeport CT, Andee lived in Stratford CT, graduated from Bunnell High School and Butler Business School. She worked for a number of Life Insurance companies and was a Practice Manager for Healthcare providers. Andee volunteered as an Ombudsman for Healthcare and Convalescent Homes in multiple states. Most of all Andee loved her Family and enjoyed being a Mother and Grandmother. She also enjoyed reading, cooking for the Family, and boating on Webster Lake. She was a member of the Killdeer Island Club and Webster Lake Association.
She will be in our thoughts forever as she always expressed her deep love and devotion for all of the Family. We will miss her Love, laughter, and support and will cherish every moment and memory we had with her throughout her journey in this life. We are consoled knowing that Andee is with her Son, Richard J Franas Jr., who predeceased her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on January 10, 2023 at 10am at St Joseph’s Basilica. Everyone who knew her is welcome to the service. There will be a Memorial gathering and reception after the Mass where we will honor her life and love. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to St Joseph’s Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Webster MA 01570.
