Ann Berthiaume Obituary

Ann Krupinski Berthiaume of Dudley, MA passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2020.  She was born in Dudley, MA to Anthony and Adeline Krupinski on June 5, 1936. Ann resided for many years in Auburn, MA where she raised seven children. Ann is survived by her loving children, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Ann earned her master’s degree in Speech Pathology at Worcester State College in Worcester, MA. Following graduation, Ann worked for several years as a Speech Therapist at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Worcester as well as for the state of Massachusetts. Ann also spoke several languages fluently. She was a long-time treasured member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an International Honorary Organization for Woman Educators. During her years of volunteering at the Webster Food Bank she made many friends. Ann’s interests encompassed a wide range. She was an avid nature lover, an accomplished piano player, and even taught music at St. Edmonds CCD Center in Auburn. Her efforts to conserve natural balance and protect the environment were an on-going passion. Ann was an adventurous traveler. Her love for the Ocean and interest in Marine Biology led to her many visits to Cape Cod and Woodshole. She greatly enjoyed vacationing many summers at her home in Falmouth. Ann’s children include; Marie and Jimmy Baker of Charlton, MA, John Berthiaume, of Warren, MA, Arlene Berthiaume of Smithville, TX, Kathleen and Jeffrey Etzkin of Dripping Springs, TX, Diane Marois of Newport, RI, Susan Flagg of Millbury, MA, and Eric Berthiaume of Auburn, MA. Ann’s greatest passion in life was centered on her children, grandchildren, and recently, several great grandchildren. Her eyes would light up with enjoyment and her smile was infectious when she was spending time with her family. Her passion for continuous learning as well as helping those around her to continue learning was an inspiration for everyone around her. Ann will be missed by her family, friends, former students, and those people’s lives she touched evenbriefly. Her star will shine brightly in the heavens and her memory will be a blessing.
