Ann T. (Hejwosz) Constantine, age 97, passed away peacefully on February 8 2023 at Webster Manor where she has been a patient/resident since June 2021. Mom lived a life of family, faith and friends, surrounding all with kindness and love.
Ann was the proud mother of 3 children- Her youngest, Van Constantine, was her caregiver for many years until his death in March 2022. She is survived by Kate (Wayman) Ceccarelli and her husband David of South Yarmouth, MA and Jeff Wayman of East Templeton MA. Her family, including grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews brought her great joy. The family also acknowledges the years of care-giving by Donna Dube. We sincerely appreciate her often daily efforts to provide comfort and care to Mom and Van. We also express gratitude for the Hospice team that tended to Mom, along with the Manor staff, during her stay.
Ann was born in Webster, the daughter of William and Frances Hejwosz. She was pre-deceased by her parents and her brothers John, Chester, Joseph, Henry and Francis (Duke), and her sister Rose.
Before retiring, Ann’s happiest work was her many years as a saleswoman at AM Kouri’s in downtown Webster. She greeted all customers with a smile and willingness to help. She had great fashion sense, enjoyed the work and being with her co-workers who became life-long friends. In addition to her full-time work, she raised her children and helped care for her aging mother and siblings. She was a faithful member of St Louis Church and frequent chapel vigils.
May thoughts of Mom being together again with son Van, her family & friends, give us comfort and remind us to treat all with love, care and kindness. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to St. Louis Church or the Van Constantine Scholarship Fund, c/o Webster Public Schools Business office 77 Poland St., Webster, MA 01570
