Webster- Anthony (Tony) G. Riccardo Sr. age 85 passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at his home with his loving family at his side. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Busha) Riccardo who passed away in 2015.
He leaves his Anthony G. Riccardo and Wendy Slingo of Dayville, CT, three daughters, Loren (Rene) Riccardo of Webster, Christine Kiritsis and her husband William of Webster and Lisa McGloin and her husband Michael of Douglas. He also leaves a brother Joseph Riccardo and his wife Anna of Webster. Tony also leaves grandchildren, Anthony Riccardo III, Christie Renaud, Stacey Bergeron, Danielle Kiritsis, Nicholas Kiritsis, Lauren Gingras, Jessica, Amanda and Stephanie McGlouin, great grandchildren Morgan, Logan, Alexis, Anthony, Nya, Gabriella, Alianna and Kai and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson Michael McGloin.
Anthony was born in Webster, the son of the late Stephen Riccardo and Rose (Bellmo) Riccardo and lived in Webster all his life. Tony was a member of the Army National Guard for many years and was employed by American Stone. He was a member of the Webster Fire Dept. Ladder one for over 25 years. Tony was a member of the Sons of Italy and played the drums in the Italian Band. He was a umpire and coached the Lassie League. Tony was a man of strong faith, dedicated to St. Louis Church, where he was a lifelong parishioner and working on the many church festivals. He loved the family vacations spending quality time with his grandchildren and his children.
Calling hours for Anthony will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, from 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 AM in St. Louis Church, Webster, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Webster. Please omit flowers and donations in his memory may be made to the Webster Fire Dept.
