1946 – 2025
Brimfield, MA - Arthur J. “Bunjie” Bonneau Jr., age 79, beloved husband of Linda (Racicot) Bonneau, died Thursday, November 20, 2025, at home in his sleep.
Art was born in Southbridge, MA, son of the late Arthur J. Sr. and Mary (Michalczyk) Bonneau and lived in Brimfield all his life. He was a trade school graduate and was a retired sales manager, having worked for many years at a local Chevrolet dealership.
In his retirement, Bunjie loved to build and work on Hot Rods. He was also an avid Civil War historian and all things related to Early American Medicine. He was a Master Mechanic and was a mentor to many. He was known to have the ability of diagnosing what was wrong with a vehicle simply by listening to the vehicle. A trait many of his friends and colleagues were thankful for.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, Linda (Racicot) Bonneau, Art is survived by his daughter, Maureen Bonneau of Brimfield; a son, Aaron “AJ” Bonneau and his wife Lisa of Brimfield; and his sister, Phyllis Lombard of West Brookfield; a grandson, Andrew Bonneau and his wife Brianna of Ware; by two great-grandchildren, which he adored, Anthony and Margaret Bonneau; niece’s, a nephew and a great-niece. He was predeceased by his sisters, Lorraine Stevens and Rosie O’Shea.
At his request, there are no calling hours or funeral services planned. Burial will be private. Kindly omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holland Congregational Church, 11 Sturbridge Road, Holland, MA 01521.
