Webster – Mrs. Barbara M. (Chenard) Nowak, beloved wife of Thomas Nowak Sr., died on Monday, September 2, 2024, at home.
She was born in Webster, MA, daughter of the late Arthur A. and Doris C. (Brissette) Chenard and lived in Webster most of her life. She was a retired cook, having worked at Ray Hade’s, Harry’s and Sandy’s Restaurants. In addition to cooking, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, artwork and crafts.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Thomas Nowak Sr. of Webster; sons, Thomas Nowak Jr. of Webster, Scott A. Nowak of Webster, Nicholas W. Nowak and his wife Sheri of Webster; a sister, Carol Stephens and her husband Dick of France; five grandchildren, Samantha, Damien, Shawn, Jason and MacKenzie; one great-granddaughter, Madelyn; and by her mother-in-law, Barbara T. Nowak of Webster.
Services for Barbara are private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster, has been entrusted with Barbara's arrangements.
