Dayville, CT- Boyd L. McCombs age 88 died Sunday, June 25, 2017 in Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam, CT.  He leaves his wife of 18 years, Nancy C. (Nuttall) McCombs of Dayville.  He is also is survived by two sons Bret Chamberline of NY and Bart Chamberline of Mystic, CT., a Step-Son James Budarz of Griswold, CT. 

He was born in Canton, PA son of the late Boyd McCombs and Bertha (Clarke) McCombs and lived in Dayville, CT for the past 50 years.  He was a retired US Navy Veteran who served for 20 years.  He was a school bus mechanic.  He was a member of the Masons in Brooklyn, CT and the Order of the Eastern Star.  He enjoyed hunting.  There are no calling hours and all services and burial are private.  The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA is directing arrangements.  Donations may be made to a charity of donors choice.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or light a candle.
