Dudley- Bruce W. Bishop, 69, passed away on Sunday March 15, 2020 at Hubbard Hospital in Webster.
Bruce is survived by his longtime friend and provider George Kariuki, who was like a brother to him along with his roommates Jim Raicot, Russell Bruso, and Charlie Bachand; his sister Linda Ciejka and her husband Ronald of East Brookfield; he also leaves Ronald P. Ciejka and his wife Donna of South Hadley, and Michael A. Ciejka and his companion Lori of Ware, who were also like brothers to Bruce; his brother-in-law Donald Johonnett of Texas; he was predeceased by his sister Dale Johonnet in 2010.
Bruce was born in Torrington, CT on January 1, 1951, son of the late Robert W. and Doris (Terry) Bishop. Bruce was very active with the Center of Hope in Southbridge for many years. Bruce was an avid reader, in fact, he was a “speed reader’; he also greatly enjoyed wearing his cowboy hat while watching old westerns and listening to country music. Bruce loved traveling, but he absolutely loved spending time with his dearest friends and family.
A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be scheduled and announced at a later date.
