Worcester – Charles J Daly, age 44, passed away Sunday, May 24th, at UMass Memorial Medical Center’s University Campus in Worcester. He leaves his companion and girlfriend of eleven years, Heather E Hutchings of Worcester and their dog Elijah, his aunt Beverly Brown and uncle Willie Brown Jr of Worcester, his step-father Gary Daly and wife Dawn of Worcester, his sister Lainey Daly-Barry of Leominster, his uncle Strong Eagle Daly of Upton, and several other family members, cousins, and friends.
Charlie was born in Worcester, son of the late Judy Aho and William F Starhawk Daly. He graduated from Doherty High School in 1994 and lived in Worcester his entire life.
Charlie was a wonderful, loving, loyal, honest, strong, protective man. He had a great eye for detail which made him notice the little things and was a perfectionist in most areas of his life. He was a member of the Nipmuc tribe and was given the name Owl, this name described his personality very well as he tended to listen more than he spoke and was always very observant and wise. Charlie had a great love of animals, especially his dogs, and strongly believed in adopting from animal shelters. He was also very interested in cryptid animal species, especially Bigfoot as he always wanted to find his own proof of their existence. He loved movies and music and was an avid DJ in his younger years. He also enjoyed creating music on his computer in his free time more recently. Health, exercise, and nutrition were always very important to him and he aspired to make that his profession one day. He was a body builder when he was younger and always looked up to the professional body builders that were able to do that for a living. He also enjoyed 'individual' sports, such as MMA and boxing, and liked to watch UFC and boxing events on television. Charlie was a fighter and a warrior in his own respect and will always be the strongest and bravest person most people have had the honor of knowing.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to WARL (Worcester Animal Rescue League) a cause very near and dear to his heart. There will not be any calling hours, but his girlfriend and family are working on having a memorial service, likely at All Saints Church in Worcester, in the near future hoping to give enough time to allow more people to attend. The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St, Webster MA is directing arrangements. A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or light a candle
