North Grosvenordale – Corey M. Goodwin, 35, of Ravenelle Rd., died suddenly on Friday, November 8, 2024.

Born in Worcester, MA he was the beloved son of Roy “Butch” Goodwin of Moosup, and Andrea (Murawski) King and her husband James of Sterling, CT.; his maternal grandparents John and Patricia Murawski of The Villages, Florida. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Richard and Dorothy (Dottie) Bennett of Thompson, CT. Corey was also blessed to have a step-sister, Bethany Sweet and step-dad Mark Sweet, in his life for many years. Corey and Bethany had many adventures when they were younger- like rescuing Cubby from the frozen river and getting stranded in the woods on their 4-wheelers- It was things like these that made them so close. Corey also had many aunts, uncles and cousins that were in his life.

Corey graduated from Tourtellotte Memorial High School in 2007. After graduation he started his career as an Iron Worker with the Steel Workers Union out of Boston, Massachusetts, where he enjoyed welding and constructing buildings. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and scuba diver and spent most of his free time listening to country music and fishing. Anyone who knew Corey knows that he loved being outdoors sitting next to a bonfire with friends and his dog Bubba.

Corey’s infectious humor touched everyone who met him— he will live on in our hearts forever.  Knowing that he is in Heaven with the Lord brings us peace. He’s now fishing with Bubba and Layla by his side.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA.
