Donald W. Roy Sr., age 68, of Dudley, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, at home after a short battle with renal cancer. He passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loving family.
Donald leaves behind his wife, Cathy (Chauvin), having just celebrated their 50th anniversary; a daughter, Nikki and her husband, Jason Antkowiak of Woodstock CT; a son, Donald Roy II and his fiancée, Lourdes Ortiz, of Webster MA; two grandchildren, Emily and Jack Antkowiak, of Woodstock CT. He was predeceased by his mother, Audrey (Williams) and his stepfather, Donald Cudworth of Webster; by his father, Donald T. Roy and his lifelong companion, Joanne Johnston of California; and by two brothers, Paul Roy and Stephen LeBeau.
Donald was born in Webster, where he lived most of his life. He attended Bartlett High School. Donald worked as a mechanic until retirement. He enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, going to flea markets and antique shops, NASCAR racing, spending time with family and friends and visiting New Hampshire. He also enjoyed reading, watching American Pickers, Pawn Stars, game shows and Chicago Fire.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm in the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Second Chance Animal Services in Brookfield MA.
