Southbridge – Donald C. Vaundell, Jr., 82, formerly of Theresa Ave, died Monday morning, July 14, 2025, in Southbridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare. Born in Southbridge, he was the son of the late Donald C. and Mildred A. (Phillips) Vaundell Sr. He was a graduate of the Charlton High School class of 1960.

Mr. Vaundell worked as a manager at various Howard Johnson restaurants in the area as well as Bel Canto’s Restaurant in Lexington prior to moving to San Francisco where he was employed by Stark Carpets as an assistant salesman.

Donald enjoyed playing cards and scrabble and watching all kinds of sporting events.

He is survived by his sister, Audrey Farraher and her husband Robert of Charlton City; his nephews, Chad M. Farraher and his wife Meagan of Webster and Matt R. Farraher and his wife Sherrie of Holland; his great nephews and niece, Colin, Brayden, Jaxson, Trent, and Scarlett, and many close friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Wayne Vaundell.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Donald’s family from 5:00PM to 6:00PM on Friday, July 25, 2025, with a Memorial Service at 5:45PM in the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA 01570.
