South Barre – On Tuesday June 14, 2022, Donna L. (Paquin) McIntosh, loving mother, sister, and grandmother passed away at the age of 67 in her home surrounded by her family.
Donna was born on February 8, 1955 in Holden, MA to the late Gordon and Geraldine (Joyal) Paquin of Barre, MA. Donna was a lifelong resident of Barre, MA; she was a CAN at Holden Nursing Home for many years, afterwards she worked in the kitchen at Ruggles Lane Elementary School, she then went on to work as a home health aide. Donna completed her working career as an industrial stitcher in Rochedale, MA.
On October 8, 1994, Donna married Kevin E. McIntosh of Maine, together, they raised Donna’s three daughters: Tonia, Candy, and Laurie, and their son Ryan. Donna had a passion for knitting and crocheting; she enjoyed making blankets and slippers for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna loved camping trips, especially to Vermont every Labor Day Weekend; she enjoyed being outside and having barbecues, and simply just spending time with her family. Donna enjoyed peaceful horseback riding and traveling to different pow wows; she was known for being a mother hen to pretty much anyone.
Donna was predeceased by her husband Kevin and her granddaughter Cheyenne. Donna leaves behind her companion of four years Ben Alexander; her daughters Tonia Blackmer of South Barre, Candy Gauthier and her spouse Armando Bousquet of South Barre, and Laurie Brousseau and her husband Chris Brousseau of Oakham; her only son Ryan McIntosh of South Barre; three brothers Peter Paquin and his wife Diane, Eric Paquin and his wife Linda, all of Barre, and Jeremy Paquin and his wife Shirley of Rutland. Donna also leaves behind her nine grandchildren: Tiffany, Amanda, Jenn, and husband CJ, Lisa, Natasha, Nicole, Alex, and Lola; she also leaves nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday June 18, 2022, from 8:00-10:00 am at the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street Webster, MA. Committal Services will follow in Glen Valley Cemetery, 446 Valley Road Barre, MA.
