Charlton- Dwight A Dano, age 68 died Thursday, November 26, 2015.  

He was predeceased by his first wife Carol.  He leaves his wife of 21 years Margaret D. (Lorenz) Dano; a daughter, Kimberly and her husband Aaron Fowler of Phoenix, Arizona.  Dwight also leaves three brothers; his identical twin brother Wayne and his wife Sandra Dano of Princeton, MA, George and his wife Shirley Dano of Webster and Al and his wife Nancy Dano of Worcester also several nieces and nephews.  He also leaves his mother Claire (King) Dano of Worcester.  

He was born in Worcester son of Claire (King Dano and the late Albertus Dano and lived in Charlton most of his life.  He was a US Air Force Vietnam Veteran.    

Dwight was the salt of the earth. He worked 30 years at Norton-St. Gobain, but his heart was in his home. A superb cook, Dwight hosted memorable holiday and birthday celebrations. His potato chip cookies were legendary. Dwight was also an artist at heart. He took great pride in designing his home and decorating it, especially at Christmas. Kind and generous to all, Dwight had a remarkable connection with animals in particular. He was most peaceful and content caring for his beloved pets Maddie and Barrett.

There are no calling hours. His arrangements are private. Donations may be made in his memory to the Best Friend Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanar UT 84741.  The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St. Webster, MA has been entrusted with his arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or a memory.
