It's so sad to see that posting from Judy . I hope and pray that this family realizes how fortunate June and Ray were to live at Charlton Manor. They lived out their final years with dignity and compassion from the staff at the manor and all of us who visited from the Federated Church. I am so grateful for the care these residents are getting and that Rev. Chase prays with them and makes their lives a little brighter. May the Higgins rest in peace.

I was sad to hear June had passed away. I went visit another resident and was told she had died . I got to know her over the years and was impressed with her skill at playing cards with anyone who would play. She told me how she loved the manor and didn't want to be any place else. She often spoke to me about her husband and her past. Charlton manor was very good to June and I saw first hand how they lovingly cared for her. I have to say it was also sad to hear Eddie also recently passed another sweet lady that June often sat with in the evening. I hope they are both at peace. I read some of the other postings and the team at the Charlton manor should be proud of the special work they do. My mom told me the place has always been a gem.

I just heard about June's passing, I was one of the hospice aides who came in to take care of her and I enjoyed getting to know her and her friends at the Charlton manor rest home. May she rest in peace. She was well cared for by all. Especially Deb on 3 to 11 who sat with her often after I left. I was impressed with the Charlton manor and its staff.

I was sorry to hear of June's passing today. I would see her at the Charlton Manor when I worked there. She was always nice to the other residents there and would try to get them to play cards or knit something. I miss working there because it was such a nice place to work and it was such a pretty home. There are not many places I have seen like the Charlton Manor, I work agency now and most rest homes and nursing homes don't even come close. I hope everyone there is doing well.

I was sorry to hear of June's passing, it's been a long time since I saw her and Ray in Charlton. I am happy to understand she was well cared for in her final years. I wish things were different for her and the family but time heals all wounds. I will remember the happy times. Ray was my cousin and I hope they will be together again.

I will always remember June demanding to have us call Michael so that she could have her glasses to see and really wanted to talk with him about her condition. This was years ago but it was so kind to see him come with the glasses a huge bowl of fresh fruit and sit and talk with her. She got everything she needed that day . We see a lot in healthcare and when you see someone go out of there way and spend time with a patient in need of reassurance it's rare. How lucky she was to have the Charlton Manor Rest Home as her home. I did my rotation there when Carol Iandoli was the owner , she also cared deeply for her residents. Michael Turpin and Carol actually take care of the residents. May June rest in peace.

June was a remarkable woman who enjoyed her time at the Charlton manor rest home. I often saw her playing cards with other residents and even trying to teach others. She was treated so well by the staff there. She would joke with them and the other residents. I was there often visiting my grandmother. I hope she realized how much joy she gave to others. Sadly, I came to understand the manor was her family. I hope she finds the peace she deserves. I enjoyed reading her love of the native americans. Joan and David

My deepest condolences to the Higgins family. Mrs. E June Higgins will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. Wishing to send a comforting hope for the future based on the words of our Lord Jesus Christ found in John 5:28, 29 - " Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life." May the hope of once again seeing our loved ones once again, give you the strength that you need during these difficult situation.
