Webster – Edward John Para, 91, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his loving family on the morning of Monday July 25, 2022.
Edward was born in Webster, MA on September 26, 1930 son of the late Adam and Julia (Lenart) Para; he lived in town all of his life. Edward served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean. Prior to his retirement many years ago, Edward operated Webster’s first self-serve Exxon Station; he thoroughly enjoyed working in his yard, and taking trips to Ogunquit, ME with his beloved wife. Edward was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants; he was a longtime member of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans’, and a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Basilica. Edward’s greatest love was to spend time with his family.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-four years Loretta (Trudeau) Para; his son Dale Para and his wife Patti of North Oxford; three daughters Lynn Nicholson and her husband Mike of South Dartmouth; Linda Marion and her husband Mark of Templeton, and Sandra Guay of Webster; he also leaves his granddaughter Danni Lynn Marion of Templeton. Edward was predeceased by three brothers, two sisters, and his grandson Andrew Guay.
