Edwin Dale Beals of Dudley passed away in his sleep at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester on Tuesday morning, November 14, 2017 at the age of 81.Dale, as he was best known, will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rosalie (Vincent) Beals of 57 years and his three children, Randy Beals (Andrea), Wendy Harris Hammond (Roger) and Molly Beals (Andy). He will also be dearly missed by his five grandchildren; Bob Harris (Erin), Dave Harris (Kelly), Josh, Olivia, and Lucas Beals as well as his great-grandchildren, Will and Nolan Harris and a third great-grandchild (Harris) on the way.Dale served as a member of the Air Force where he received the Outstanding Unit Award and National Defense Service Medal. During his working years, he was employed in the textile industry and worked hard to provide for his family. He was a fun loving man who enjoyed watching and rooting for the Red Sox and the Patriots, fishing, drawing, woodworking, listening to classic country music, and playing games and making puzzles with his family and friends.Dale was born on March 31, 1936 in Blaine, Maine to Edwin B. Beals and Goldena (Hawksley) Beals, both deceased. He is survived by his brother Earl Beals, his twin sister Gail O’Day, his brother Russ Beals, and many nephews and nieces. His sister Joy Green passed away in 2010. A memorial service and celebration of Dale’s life will be held in the spring for family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to either the Dudley or Webster Senior Center where Dale enjoyed playing many games with his friends.
