North Grosvenordale, CT- Felicia C. (Groh) Balcom age 74, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at her home. She was the wife of 52 years of Thomas W. Balcom.
Felicia leaves her loving husband Tom, a son, Andrew T. Balcom and Stella, a brother Lawrence Groh of North Grosvenordale, CT and Florida, two sisters, Rita Rohr of North Grosvenordale, CT and Henrietta Panu of Thompson, CT. Felicia also had a brother and a sister that predeceased her, Jerome Groh of North Grosvenordale and Barbara Hojinski of Dover, NH.
She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Anthony Groh and Victoria (Wagher) Groh and lived in North Grosvenordale, CT most of her life. Felicia was the Secretary for many years at St. Joseph Basilica Rectory in Webster, until her retirement.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary, St. Annes and Sacred Heart Sodalities and the VFW Auxiliary. Felicia enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and quality time with her family. She always had a welcoming smile and time to chat with friends.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Basilica, Webster at 11 AM on Tuesday March 19, 2024, with burial in St. Joseph’s Garden of Peace. Calling hours at the Funeral Home will be Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 8 AM to 10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Basilica, Webster, MA in her memory or Catholic Charity of Worcester, 10 Hammond St., Worcester, MA 01610.
