Francis E. Mello Sr.

Webster – Francis E. “Franny” Mello Sr., age 90, died Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster.

Born in Dighton, MA, Franny was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Lacerda) Mello and grew up in Fall River, later living and working in Worcester, Whitinsville and Webster.  Franny was the owner of Wholesale Auto & Trucks in Webster.

His wife, Cecile (Levesque) Mello died in 2009.  He is survived by his children, Francis E. Mello Jr. and his wife Linda; Katharen LeSavoy and her husband Michael; Shirley Horniak.  Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his son-in-law, John Horniak II and by his sister, Anne Machado.

There are no calling hours.  Services are private.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster has been entrusted with Franny’s arrangements.  A memorial guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you can post a condolence, share a memory and/or light a candle in his memory.
