Gilbert J. (Gil) Thibeault, age 81 of Dudley, MA, passed away at UMMH, University Campus on 12/24/2023. He was preceded in death in 2016 by his son, Brian He leaves behind his family members, Linda (Dumouchel) Thibeault, son Kevin Thibeault, granddaughter Kaitlyn Thibeault of VA, brother Arthur Thibeault of NC, one niece and his beloved cat, Pokey. Gil was born in Webster, MA son of the late Arthur Thibeault & Irene (Landry) Thibeault. He was a 1960 graduate of Bartlett High School. After graduating, he started his career in the electronics field at Hewlett-Packard leaving this position for military service in the US Army from 1964 to 1967. After his military discharge, he returned to work at Hewlett-Packard for one year before moving on in his career to become the production manager for TransTek, Inc. in CT, a position he held for 30+ years. Gil was Past Master of Webster AF&AM, member of Melha Shrine Center in Agawam, MA, Singletary Rod & Gun Club in Oxford, MA, American Legion Post 184 in Webster, MA. He was an avid sportsman.
Gil made the decision years ago to be enrolled in the Anatomical Gift Program at UMass Chan Medical School & his wish was fulfilled by his family. There are no services at this time but will be held at future date. Contributions in his memory can be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or Shriners Children's New England.
