Webster – Gladys I. (Surozenski) Penkala, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 17, 2021 while at the Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.
Gladys was born in Webster, MA on September 3, 1927, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Drezek) Surozenski; she worked for Anglo Fabrics for many years prior to her retirement and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Basilica.
Being predeceased by her late husband Henry Penkala, Gladys is survived by her son James Penkala of South Carolina and her daughter Kathy Scheffler of Quinebaug, CT.
Private Committal Services will be held in St. Joseph’s Garden of Peace.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
