Dudley- Gloria L. (Masse) Laprise age 86 died peacefully in her sleep Wed. February 24, 2016 at Lanessa Long Term Care in Webster.  She was the wife of the late William L. Laprise who died in July of 2012.  She leaves a son Stephen W. Laprise of Dudley and 2 granddaughters Sharon Mayotte and Andrea Thomas and 9 great grandchildren.  She was born in Jewett City, CT and lived in Dudley, MA with Stephen and his wife Ellen for the past 11 years.
Gloria was raised and lived in New Bedford where she cared for her sickly mother for many of her younger years. She graduated from New Bedford High School. After marrying, she worked 2  jobs for many years. She made many lifelong friends at Del's Drive-in and at Aerovox Corporation where she retired.
Gloria was the eldest of her mother's branch of the Frechette family.
She was an avid reader, and always had a great love for cats. She gave willingly to numerous charities, of which Disabled Veterans was her favorite.
