Helen M. (Capozzoli) Hejwosz
1923 – 2025
Webster- Helen M. (Capozzoli) Hejwosz, age102, beloved wife of the late Henry H. Hejwosz, died Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Webster Manor Health Care.
Helen was born in Webster, MA, daughter of the late Pasquale and Theresa (DiGioia) Capozzoli, and lived in Webster all her life. She was a café worker in the Town of Webster School system. She previously worked at Anglo Fabric, Bates Shoe, and Mammoth Mart.
Helen enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and being with her children and grandchildren. In years past she pitched in the Webster Men’s League for Webster Shoe. She was an avid Boston Bruin and Boston Red Sox fan.
Helen is survived by a son, John Hejwosz and his wife Betty of Dudley; three daughters, Nancy Sgariglia and her husband Brian of Webster, Teresa Bonner of Webster, Lori Russell and her husband James of Dudley; eleven grandchildren, Amy, Stacey, Adam, Eric, Lindsey, Kristen, Sara, Jesse and Emalee; six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Georgia, Lucas, Harper, Harrison and Joshua, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Henry, Helen was predeceased by a son, Robert “Bo” Hejwosz, by her brothers, Alfred Capozzoli and Armand Capozzoli, and by her sisters, Emily Riccardo, Elvie Capozzoli and Dorothy “Dot” Capozzoli.
Family and friends are invited to visit with Helen’s family on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street, Webster, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Louis Endowment Fund, 14 Lake Street, Webster, MA 01570.
