Ismael Reyes Sr.

Southbridge/Webster- Ismael Reyes Sr. age 92 passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Christopher House, Worcester.  He was the husband of the late Gertrudis (Varga) Reyes who passed away in 1971.

He leaves a son Ismael Reyes Jr. of Worcester, two daughters, Noemi Reyes of Worcester and Nelida Reyes of Southbridge, nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Ismael had three sisters that predeceased him, Gloria, Edith Reyes of Southbridge and Ary E. Reyes of Puerto Rico, one brother and two grandsons.

Ismael was born in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, son of the late Bruno Reyes and Rafaela (Perez) Reyes and lived here for forty-eight years.  He was a shoe worker and worked for B and W Footwear in Webster. Ismael enjoyed wood crafting, word search and the Boston Red Sox.

Funeral will be held from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, Thursday June13, 2024, with calling hours 9 – 11 AM, burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or light a candle. Please omit flowers and donations in his memory be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
