He was born in Putnam, CT, the son of James A. Rice Jr. and the late Theresa M. (LaFleur) Rice and lived here all his life. Jim worked for over thirty years as a draftsman for Cullinan Engineering of Auburn, MA. Jim enjoyed woodcarving, fishing, hunting, target shooting, and quality time with his family and friends. He was a life member of the Valley Springs Sportsmen Club. Jimmy was a fountain of kindness and knowledge and a pleasure to know him as a friend. In his later years working at Lowes, he was more of a goodwill ambassador, helping all customers with their shopping needs.
