N. Oxford– Janet E. Couture, 91, of Merriam District, died Saturday morning, February 1, 2025.  Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph O. Caissie and Ethel (Cunningham) Caissie Duval.

Mrs. Couture worked at various businesses as a secretary including Brown Shoe, Mass 10 Truckstop, and Orchard Hill Estates.

She enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard, her spur of the moment trips to Maine, vacations to Cape Cod, her memorable trip to Alaska with her mother, and making raspberry jam with her son David. But, above all she cherished the quality time that she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her sons, David Couture of N. Oxford and Hector Couture, Jr. of Spencer; her brother David Caissie of San Francisco, CA; her four grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Gary Couture, and her siblings, Joseph Caisse, Jr., Russell Caissie, Dennis Caissie, Arthur Caissie, Robert Bailey, Leonard Caissie, Barry Caissie, Lois Forleo, Frances Wheeler, Ethel Boissonault, Leona Parker, and Roberta Hannon.
