Webster - Joan (Erickson) Dillon, age 96, formerly of Woodstock, CT, wife of the late John C. Dillon, died Tuesday, June 16, 2024, at Webster Manor Healthcare Center.
Joan was born on November 7, 1927, in Newark, New Jersey, daughter of the late Eric S. and Myrtle (Degroot) Erickson. She leaves her son, John T. Dillon of Vashon Island, WA; four grandchildren, Jennifer Annese, Daniel Lopriore, Max Dillon and Katie Dillon; five great-grandchildren and two-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband John, Joan was predeceased by a son, Daniel S. Dillon of Thompson, by a daughter, Deborah J. Dillon of Thompson, and by her brother, John Erickson of North Carolina.
Joan was the former owner and operator of the Russian Bear. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the local bridge club. She also enjoyed decorating, sewing, 1940’s swing music and was an accomplished artist.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services are private. Please omit flowers, donations may be made in her memory to American Diabetes Foundation.
